Fix the most common problems with installing and running Apex.

The server doesn't connect#

Dashboard stays on "Waiting for your server to connect…"

  1. Check the server console for an Apex message:
  2. [Apex] No apex.key found — the apex.key file is missing from the ApexAC folder. Download the resource again from the dashboard.
  3. could NOT load server code … after retries — your server can't reach https://apex-anticheat.com. Check your host's firewall, then restart ApexAC.
  4. NO VALID LICENSE (key rejected) — wrong or expired key, or the trial has ended.
  5. Make sure ensure ApexAC is in server.cfg and the folder name matches.
  6. Check the status page.

"Online" turned "Offline"#

Apex couldn't reach the server for a while. If the server itself still runs, run restart ApexAC in the console (or txAdmin Live Console).

Two servers, one key#

Only one server is active per licence. The second one stays idle. See Moving to a new server.

The in-game panel doesn't open#

  • Type /apex in chat.
  • "You are not an admin on this server" — add your Discord ID under Admins on the website.
  • Make sure Discord is running and linked to FiveM before you join.

Resources tab / Restart server doesn't work#

Add to server.cfg and restart:

A player was banned unfairly#

  1. Open the ban in Punishments and watch the evidence.
  2. If one of your scripts caused it (healing, armour, teleports, spawns), add allow to that script.
  3. Unban the player.
  4. Open a ticket with the Ban ID — we use every report to improve detections.

My script gets flagged#

Your script does… Use
Gives armour / heals / revives allow(src, 'armour' / 'heal')
Teleports players repeatedly allow(src, 'teleport')
Spawns vehicles, peds, objects apexAllowSpawn
Gives weapons (custom inventory) WeaponGuard exports

Offline options shows an error#

Offline options need oxmysql and an ESX users table. Make sure oxmysql is started and your server is online.
